About the Hackathon
# Introduction
A multi phase hackathon that allows for iterating on ideas. Ideas and projects created are related to climate action solutions. These solutions are created using controversial technologies such as web3 and AI. All code created is maintained open source. Thus Controversial Climate Code- C3.
# Timeline
The hackathon kicks off 10 days before New York Climate Week with a week long online hack. After this week top teams are notified of their ability to come and present at New York Climate Week- one of the largest environmental events in the USA.
After New York Climate week the hackathon continues virtually with a residency at an edge city in South America. Hackers are encouraged to attend in person but virtual is allowed as well. Once this residency is coming to an end, hackers are notified of their ability to present to other members of the edge city.
With refined ideas from New York Climate Week and the edge city hackers are ready for the final stint. A final hacking portion before COP30 in Brazil. Top teams from this are invited to come and present during COP30.
After the hackathon is over top teams are connected to further resources so that they can continue to refine their ideas.
