| AboutCitrus Hack is the oldest24 hour hackathonhosted by theAssociation for Computing Machinery (ACM)at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), bringing together students from all backgrounds to build, learn, and create.Hackers (participants) build in teams of 1-4 to design and develop projects across software, design, hardware, data, games, AI/ML, and more, to present to a panel of judges to compete for tracks, challenges, and prizes.As one of Southern California's and the Inland Empire's largest hackathons, Citrus Hack aims to toprovide a welcoming environment and spacefor curiosity in exploring passions, creativity in innovating, and increasing accessibility in resources.Throughout the weekend of April 18-19, 2026, hackers will have direct access to hands-onworkshops, engagingactivities,mentorshipfrom industry professionals and faculty, andconnectwith peers across interdisciplinary fields.Citrus Hack is theoldest hackathon at UC Riverside(alongside our sibling hackathon, Cutie Hack) with10+ years of innovation and building(est. 2014). Our mission is to expand access to technical, professional, and community opportunities while empowering students of all discplines to build innovative and meaningful projects.This year, Citrus Hack is partnering withnewsponsors and partnersto provide even more resources, learning opportunities, networking sessions, and industry experiences for our participants (partners will be announced soon).
