Tracks

Main Tracks:
AI and Agents
Build applications, agents, tooling, or infrastructure that combine AI/ML (including LLMs and autonomous agents) with Hedera network services. The focus is on demonstrating novel AI‑blockchain integrations that create real utility for developers or end‑users.
DeFi / Tokenization
Design solutions that reimagine finance and asset ownership through Hedera’s Token Service and Smart Contracts. Projects may span decentralized exchanges, lending protocols, tokenized real-world assets, or new financial primitives.
Sustainability
Create applications that drive environmental or social impact by leveraging the Hedera Guardian and Hedera’s energy-efficient infrastructure. Use cases can include carbon tracking, regenerative finance, ethical supply chains, and beyond.
Legacy Builders
For returning participants from past Hedera Hackathons to continue building on previous ideas or apply their experience to new concepts. A space for deeper exploration, refinement, or reinvention. To be eligible you must have participated in a previous Hedera Hackathon
Additional Track/ Bounty:
Dev Experience
The goal of this track/bounty is to contribute changes and improvements in areas such as documentation, code repositories, tutorial videos, and other related resources, with the aim of significantly improving the developer experience within the Hedera ecosystem.
Note: This is an optional track/bounty and must be submitted in addition to your chosen main track: AI and Agents, DeFi / Tokenization, Sustainability, or Legacy Builders.
Submission guidelines:
- Submit for this track using this form.
- Note: You must be registered for the hackathon to login to the form.
- Your first submission should be for one of the main tracks (e.g., AI and Agents).
- Your second submission should be for the Dev Experience track using this form.
- Both submissions must come from the same team to be eligible for prizes.

Additional Track (Dev Experience):

10 best submissions will win $1,500 each

- Submit your Certificate of Completion here!
- Alternatively, you may submit your Certificate of Completion via the BUIDL Submission Form on Dorahacks. However, as the Certificate of Completion is meant to be submitted individually, it is recommended to instead submit via the provided link above.
Note: Submission of the certificate is optional and does not impact your eligibility to participate in or win the hackathon.

First 200 Teams to submit a proof of on-chain activities will receive USD$25
Team are to submit the Link to their Playground Code, Hedera account ID along with a HashScan link to your account and at least one transaction link as proof of on-chain activity along with project submission.

Submission Artefacts (Main Track)
1. Project’s GitHub Repo Link
- Team leader to create the project's GitHub Repo and share the access with the rest of the team to collaborate on.
- The team will save all submission items onto this Github Repo where the judges may access the items during the judging period.
- GitHub repo should host the application’s code, a README file, any other deployment files and testing instructions.

- A list of tech stack (Linux, java, Ruby, Python, MySQL etc.) used by the team to build your project
- In the “Details” section of your submission form, include the link to a publicly-accessible Google Drive folder containing your pitch deck in PDF format.

Here’s a potential structure you can adapt for your pitch deck :
- Team and Project Introduction
- Project Summary : Provide a comprehensive overview of your solution, keeping in mind that the 5 judging criteria will form the basis of judges’ assessment.
- Future Roadmap : Any key learnings and room from improvements? Outline the next steps for your project if you were to continue developing it.
- Demo : Showcase the technical strengths, usability and performance of your solution here! You must pre-record your demo, upload it to Youtube, and insert the link in your deck.
Note: Submissions without a demo video link in the deck will not be scored

This is the URL to the live working environment of the solution the team has developed.
5. [Optional] Certificate of completion for “Building on Hedera” Course
The "Building on Hedera" course offers valuable benefits for hackathon participants:
- Comprehensive Learning: 11 modules covering Hedera Hashgraph architecture and development fundamentals.
- Official Training: Created by The Hashgraph Association and Swirlds Labs.
- Recognised Certification: Earn an official Certificate of Completion minted on Hedera and a developer knowledge badge upon passing the final assessment.
Bonus Reward Opportunity:
- First 100 participants to submit the certificate of completion for building on Hedera course will receive USD$50.
- Note : Submission of the certificate is optional and does not impact your eligibility to participate in or win the hackathon.
