Beginner or an expert? Love games? Then RESPAWN – The 2D Game Jam is your chance to build it, play it and bring it to life! Participants will be added to an official WhatsApp group after registration and the general theme will be revealed at 9AM on October 13, marking the start of the 12-HourOnline Building Roundfrom 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Teams of 3–4 members can bring their ideas to life by building their own 2D game based on the given theme in any genre, using any game engine or framework of their choice. The Google Drive link for submitting their 3 screen-recorded progress videos at 4-hour intervals will be shared in the group along with further instructions. Simple creative elements such as patterns, symmetry or other mathematical touches can also be incorporated for additional points. After the 12-hour building round, teams will get 2 days (October 14 and 15) to polish their games, fix bugs, improve gameplay and get their final builds ready.The offline round will be on October 16 with a Live Pitching & Showcase,where teams will showcase their final playable games on campus before the judges, where each team will have 5 minutes to present their game, followed by 3 minutes for Q&A about their game and its technical implementation.
