Our client is a mobile-first insights and research platform that helps organizations engage directly with consumers through near real-time feedback. By enabling two-way conversations at scale, the platform supports faster learning, better decision-making, and improved product and service experiences. We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to help advance a large-scale location intelligence platform that turns raw mobility and geospatial signals into high-impact data products. In this role, you’ll design, prototype, and productionize models and heuristics that connect location patterns to real-world behavior—using techniques such as regression, classification, clustering, and rigorous hypothesis testing. You’ll work with very large datasets, partnering closely with engineering to build memory- and compute-efficient approaches that scale in distributed environments (e.g., Spark/Hadoop). Your work will directly power core product capabilities, and you’ll be expected to dive deep into the math, validate results thoughtfully, and communicate findings clearly.
Design and prototype of scalable algorithms.
Assess the quality of new datasets for downstream processing.
Create functional and technical documentation of analyses, findings, and prototypes.
Collaborate with Engineering to productionize prototypes.
Communicate results to teams within the organization and to customer.
Generate and implement Machine-Learning algorithms
Experience with Scala, Spark, Python, AB testing, Bayesian statistics, Graphical Data Structures, Functional Programming.
Experience with Deep Learning, Probabilistic Graphical Models, Active Learning, Anomaly Detection, Image Classification.
PhD in a quantitative field, or Master with 5+ years’ experience in a data science role.
Extensive background in math or statistics.
Experience owning multiple large projects/data products.
