We are looking for passionate and driven Graduate Engineering Trainees (GETs) to join our journey of expansion and technological advancement.
Role Overview:
As a Graduate Engineering Trainee, you will undergo structured training across various functions in transformer design, production, quality, and testing. This role is designed to build a strong foundation in both mechanical and electrical engineering aspects relevant to transformer manufacturing. You will work closely with experienced engineers and gain hands-on exposure to shop floor operations, design processes, and project execution.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of transformers, including core, winding, insulation, and cooling systems.
- Support production activities by understanding manufacturing processes such as core assembly, coil winding, tank fabrication, and final assembly.
- Participate in quality assurance and testing procedures, including routine, type, and special tests.
- Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with standards.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as procurement, planning, and maintenance.
- Identify process improvements and support implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
- Maintain documentation and prepare technical reports related to production, testing, and performance.
- Adhere to safety standards and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- Strong fundamentals in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of basic concepts such as electromagnetics, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and work in a manufacturing/shop floor environment.
Good to Have Skills:
- Internship or academic exposure related to transformer manufacturing or heavy electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or electrical design software.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools and manufacturing methodologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
