Lead Data scientist

This role offers end-to-end ownership—from model building to business impact, with exposure to large-scale, real-world deployments. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Build and deploy credit risk / collections / fraud models Develop application & behavioral scorecards using statistical techniques 

Own the complete model lifecycle: data → features → modelling → validation → deployment Partner with business, product, and tech teams to solve high-impact problems 

Drive model monitoring, performance tracking, and recalibration Ensure model governance and regulatory compliance 

Mentor junior team members and guide modelling best practices 

Requirements: 

5–10 years of experience in credit risk modelling / analytics Strong hands-on experience in scorecard development (logistic regression)

 Proficiency in Python / SAS / SQL Experience handling large datasets & feature engineering 

Strong understanding of BFSI / banking domain 

Exposure to model validation, governance, and regulatory frameworks Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving ability 

Secondary Requirements: Experience with ML models (XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.) Exposure to collections / fraud / rural lending models Prior experience mentoring or leading small teams Location: BKC, Mumbai Work Type: Full Time
