Job Summary
The role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth, timely, and high-quality delivery of software in a continuous deployment environment. Working closely with development, testing, and operations teams, this position is hands-on and directly contributes to the success of mission-critical software deployments.
Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases in partnership with product and
infrastructure teams, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track release progress, identify dependencies,
and manage risks.
Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestones reviews, and Go/No-Go reviews.
Review deployment plans, rollback plans, resource plans, and communication plans.
Participate and coordinate the Go live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.
Conduct RCA analysis on Release related issues.
Ensure onboarding and training documents are kept up to date.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying and automating release processes, reporting, and monitoring using AI/ML tools or scripting.
Coordination with Vendor support teams during planning and execution windows.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
4+ years of professional experience as part of a software development team or in a release management role, including relevant internships.
Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and release management
processes.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks and issues during the
release process.Experience with release management or project management tools like JIRA and
ServiceNow.
