Senior Visual Designer – Brand & Communications, Mexico City

LAB49 (an ION Group company) is an NYC-based global technology consulting firm that has been designing and building digital products for the world’s leading investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and fintech startups since 2002.

Currently we are looking for a Senior Visual Designer to support our internal communications, employer branding, and external client-facing materials, including pitch decks and presentation templates. This role is centered on strong visual craft, clarity, consistency, and speed—bringing complex ideas to life through polished, brand-aligned design.

You’ll partner closely with our  talent, and sales leadership to design high-quality visual assets and scalable templates, using Figma as a core production and collaboration tool.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and produce high-quality presentations, pitch decks, and templates for internal and external use
• Apply and evolve Lab49’s visual identity across employer branding, internal communications, and sales materials
• Translate written narratives and rough content into clear, compelling visual stories
• Build and maintain reusable visual systems and templates that scale across teams
• Ensure brand consistency, visual hierarchy, and pixel-level quality across all assets
• Collaborate with talent and sales stakeholders to support ongoing business needs
• Leverage new tools and workflows—including AI-assisted design capabilities—to accelerate production and improve consistency
• Office presence in central Mexico City 1+ day per week

CHARACTERISTICS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years of experience in visual, graphic, or communication design
• Demonstrated ability to deliver clean, intuitive, brand-consistent visual work
• Proven experience creating presentation systems, templates, and branded assets 
• Expert-level proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, libraries)
• Excellent sense of typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy
• High attention to detail with a strong eye for polish and consistency
• Ability to work efficiently, take direction, and iterate quickly
• A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt as design tooling evolves, including AI-driven features
• Excellent English communication skills (C1 – Advanced -  highly preferred)

NICE TO HAVE:

• Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Information Design
• Experience with employer branding, internal communications, and/or sales enablement
• Exposure to AI-assisted design workflows (e.g., layout acceleration, content exploration, systemization)
• Experience supporting consulting, professional services, or B2B organizations
• Multinational company experience is highly preferred
